911 Turbo

As with the predecessor, the top models 911 Turbo and Turbo S bring a number of new features, including rear-axle steering, which makes the vehicle more agile in corners and more stable when going straight. Depending on the driving speed, steering angle and driving situation, the rear wheels can steer or countersteer by up to 2.8 degrees. This leads to a virtual wheelbase change of −250 to +500 millimeters. Other changes compared to the 997 Turbo models are the front and rear spoilers, which can each be extended in three stages. The output of the turbo model is 383 kW (521 hp), that of the turbo S model 412 kW (560 hp) or since the beginning of 2016 427 kW (580 hp). The Porsche 911 Turbo models are equipped with a sound symposer as standard. This transmits the intake noise of the turbo engine to the interior via a membrane. The variable damping Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and the roll stabilization PDCC were introduced.
